We’d both tried different types of diets over the years. Each time, we successfully lost weight, only to put all of it back on… and then some.
After some health concerns, Shannon & I decided it was time to change our lifestyle. We realized that diets with an expiration date don’t work. Furthermore, we decided that a fitness lifestyle was something we had to do together. A little over a year ago, we got serious about tracking our calories and exercising. Our exercise consists of cardio and weight lifting.
Shannon’s lost approximately 50lbs, and I’ve lost a little over 60lbs. Since we’re both lifting now, we’ve lost track of the scale… but keep feeling the difference in the way our clothes fit, and how our reflections appear in the mirror. Also, we have more energy and less “aches & pains” than we did a year ago.
We’re not where we want to be yet, but we get closer everyday. For the 1st time in years, we like the way we look; and, more importantly, the way we feel.
